The Wedding

There is silence in heaven
The earth quivers in expectation
The glory of the Lord is coming down
All has been completed
There are no more tasks to do
Everything is prepared
The marriage of the Lamb is come
The Bride has made herself ready
Clothed in fine linen clean and white
She is seated to receive the guests
And greets them every one
The sound of trumpets pierces the air
“The bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him.”
From the door of the temple there is a light in the blackness
The sound of horses in the distance
Everyone’s lamps are raised in greeting
The light guiding the way
Through the gloom of the night a white horse appears
The rider clothed in glistening white
All those present bow in reverence at his approach
The King of kings, the Lord of lords
The bridegroom stands at the entrance of the temple
Those in attendance stand in awe
The bride turns her head in wonder
To behold the sight of His glory
Her heart leaps in anticipation
As He moves toward the altar
And stands under the banner of love
She moves forward and stands before Him
He places a red veil over her head
Promising to cover her with his glory
He tells her of his love and the promises of the future
She circles around him seven times
Beholding His perfection
And takes her place at His right hand
The betrothal blessing is read
They share the cup of the new wine of the kingdom
He takes the ring and places it on her hand
And declares before the two witnesses present 'Behold my wife'
A cheer ascends to heaven as
The glory of the Lord descends
Enveloping them both
Every one claps their hands
They shout praises to His name
The ground shakes for joy
The mountains and hills sing
There is feasting rejoicing and laughter
For the two have become one again
As it was in the beginning.

Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man come

For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
