Perfect in One

If I had but one thing I could choose in this life
I would choose you Lord
If I had but one moment to spend
I would spend it with You Lord
If I had but one coin in my possession
It would be spent for You
If I had but one last breath
It would say I love you

Yet these are but flummery words
For I am just a man subject to human frailty
Like the dust blown in the wind
Stinging the eyes, irritating the throat
Like a mirage in the desert
Promising hope but delivering scorn
As solid as water, as ridged as the air
Unless they are contained they will not hold together

Lord hold me in Your love, captivate me in Your hand
May Your strength be my strength
Your focus my focus, Your Love my love
How can I go if you aren't going?
How can I stay unless You are resting?
How can I speak unless You are speaking?
Lord let my life be simultaneous with You
Perfect in One, lost in Your Love.

Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
