LOVE is…
Love is not like the pulse of flashing neon lighting
But the lighthouse's silent warning
Love is not the thunder of rapturous applause
But the splash of rescuing oars
Love is not like icy wind driven rain
But a dew settling on the plain
Love is not like a twig tumbled by the current
But a rock unmoved though a torrent

Love is not like a skyscraper or monumental tower
But the vibrant beauty of a wild flower
Love is not like a discarded burnt out match
But as a fire consuming dry thatch
Love is not as a stagnant swamps rancid smell
But the freshness of a deep springing well
Love is not like a pictures sun bleached hues
But as a sapphire’s fadeless blue
Love is not the plastic beauty in the mirror
But is in the actions, passion and the fervour
Love is not the suit hanging dusty and forlorn
But as overalls, battered soiled and torn
Love is not like the final payment of a bill
But like a gift sent when someone is ill

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
