Growing Up

Born from above
Craving the milk of the Word
Thirsty, hungry, crying, pleading
Drawing sustenance from others
Growing and learning from witnesses
Telling what they have seen and heard
The Tutors and the Governors
The apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers,
All giving sustenance and life.
Growing taller, maturing,
Cuts, bruises breaks and stains
Running to Mummy for the plaster and the comfort
Learning life's theories from text books and biographies
Increasing in knowledge and stature
Then we begin to become more independent
A deep craving calling to be set free
We struggle and strain, even biting the hand that feeds us
The deep calls to the deep for more

The Father watches our progress
Sees the growing pains tormenting our lives
Watching and waiting guiding the tutors
Until He appoints the time of completion
Until the time He considers us ready for more
Until the time He adopts us as sons
Until the time He gives the key to the door
He then comes and dwells within us
Like a dove, descending on our souls-filling the deep void
Then we are no longer taught by tutors
No longer trained by governors
The Holy Ghost, the Anointing is our Teacher
Teaching us by experience through the situations of life
We then become the witnesses to the next generation
Telling the things we have seen and heard
New born babes drawing our experiences from us
The Apostles and prophets, evangelists pastors and teachers
To the Next generation.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Gal 4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
